We offer the following products/studies in the field of technological sustainability, in particular in the areas of photovoltaics and energy storage.
Global Analysis of Leading Providers of Residential Energy Storage Systems 2019
Electrical storage systems are an essential element within the global change process from a traditional fossil-fuel-based energy sector to a climate-friendly electricity suppl. Between 2013 and 2018 the global market for residential energy storage solutions, measured by the number of sold systems, grew tenfold. Until the year 2030 the annual global sales volume is expected to reach 6 billion euros.
A large number of companies are offering energy storage solutions for private households. For the first time, the present report analyzes the global top 20 providers of residential energy storage systems in a comprehensive approach. Based on the description of the global key sales markets, the analysis of sales channels within these markets, as well as the analysis of the buying process of end customers, around 60 criteria were established, which show the success factors of residential energy storage providers. An analysis of the top 20 providers, based on the assessment of fulfillment of these success factors, was made. Three clusters of providers were identified within this data analysis. Finally, the top 20 providers of residential energy storage products are classified within four groups.
The report „Endcustomer Survey Photovoltaics 2019“ is based on 887 quantative interviews with German home-owners, who have had their house built since 2010. The target of this report is to understand the reasons why home-owners are still hesitant to install PV, especially in regards to new buildings. Therefore, the report illustrates why owners decide for or against PV and how their decisions are influenced.
The results allow manufacturers, installers and energy suppliers to target and address the concerns of the customers, and to adjust the range of information based on the questions and reservations of the home-owners.
The German PV EndCustomer Monitor is annually survey among German owners of photovoltaic systems. The study evaluates the brand landscape of modules, inverters and energy storage systems as well as other recurring topics (criteria of brand choice, recommendation, brand awareness). Furthermore every year a different focus topic around PV and storage is covered.
PV Storage PriceTool
With the „PV Storage PriceTool“ you will have the opportunity to view current storage prices and, if necessary, to assess the price level of your own products. Furthermore, you can compare technologies and products and review the price developments. Last but not least, this toll will give you information about the market potential and the possible return on invest rates for end customers. The price analysis is based on a quarterly survey of German PV installers, and the prices refer to the buying prices the installers have to pay. You can use the tool flexibly and filter the categories as you please.
PV Sale Monitor
The “PV SalesMonitor Germany” is an Excel- Tool based on data records which are provided by the Photovoltaikforum (www.photovoltaikforum.com). The Photovoltaikforum is visited by end customers and market intermediaries such as PV installers. It is an exchange platform for PV in general and more specifically system offers. The data covers the German small-scale segment mainly (0-50 kWp) but also includes larger systems. The “PV SalesMonitor” is a 12-month subscription. The database was created in 2010 and has been continuously updated since then. New data is added every month.
Business and Industry Monitor
The Business and Industry Monitor is a study on German Business and Industry customers who have a photovoltaic system (between ca. 30 and 250 kWp) installed. The survey includes topics like PV technology, brands and battery storage. The study focuses on the buying process of Business and Industry customers and how it differs from the buying process of end customers. Furthermore, motives for installing a PV system are examined and how these motives have changed over time. In this vein, self-consumption behavior is observed and an outlook given on the future operation of PV plants after the Feed-In-Tariff has expired.
PV Installer Monitor
Since 2008, EuPD Research conducts annual surveys of PV installers. After focusing on the European core PV markets over the first years, since 2015/2016, the focus of the study was expanded to the most important PV markets worldwide. Installers are directly connected to the end customers and know the current market trends. The PV InstallerMonitor sheds light on aspects such as procurement, brand buying behavior and satisfaction for wholesalers, modules, inverters and storage. Many evaluations are made on a brand level.
