Bonn/ Hannover. The planned fossil fuel phase-out in Germany, the European “Green Deal” and countless initiatives and activities worldwide leave no doubt that climate friendly energy production and efficient usage are key issues for the future. More than ever the industry is expected to rethink processes and structures to make energy consumption as efficient as possible. The Industrial Energy Efficiency Award - established in 2018 and granted for the first time in April 2019 - acts as an important catalyst for energy efficient technologies. With the high public appeal and effective media coverage, this award offers outstanding innovations from industry and energy sector a platform in the course of the worldwide leading industry exhibition HANNOVER MESSE.
On behalf of Deutsche Messe, the Bonn-based market research agency EUPD Research will be conducting the Industrial Energy Efficiency Award for the second time. This year’s award once again invites national and international companies that produce energy efficient products or apply such solutions in projects. Start-ups committed to the area of energy efficiency will be awarded with a special prize in 2020.
“In many companies that deal with the topic of energy efficiency, we have not only noticed an increased awareness for a positive climate impact but also a clear knowledge of existing energy saving potentials for their own company”, comments Dr Martin Ammon, managing partner at EUPD and project manager of the Industrial Energy Efficiency Award.
“With the Industrial Energy Efficiency Award, the HANNOVER MESSE will make a substantial contribution to the worldwide distribution of innovative energy efficiency technologies in the industry and energy sectors”, summarizes Ulrike Hammer, senior project director energy solutions, in regards to the Deutsche Messe’s commitment.
