"Thin Film Industry Guidebook - Updated version"
The guidebook provides a comprehensive overview and analysis of the global PV thin film industry. Based on primary research and a thorough and independent analysis, the report covers the entire thin film PV value chain and provides recommendations for improving companies’ strategies.
The guidebook is a joint project between EuPD Research and SEMI, the global industry association for equipment and materials for its global PV initiative PV Group. During the PVSEC in Hamburg 2009 both parties signed a memorandum of understanding to unite their support for the global PV industry. The agreement also lays the foundations for the exchange of market information and membership benefits. So for example SEMI member companies will receive a 30 percent discount on this study.
Concentrated Solar Thermal Power(CSP) – Now and in the Future
After years of rather static market development, a rising demand for clean energy and the interest of financial investors in undertaking sustainable investments is promoting the development of concentrating solar thermal power generation (CSP). In order to give an overview of the global CSP market, EuPD Research decided to carry out a survey – taking into account the points of view of all relevant stakeholders such as manufacturers, project developers, energy suppliers, investors, government bodies and other experts. The result is an industry analysis, which provides amongst others a comprehensive overview about framework conditions and the development of the crucial CSP markets, most important market participants of all levels of the value chain, reasons for investments in the CSP sector as well as selection criteria and important B2B communication channels.

The Italian Photovoltaic Market 2008 – Overcoming Obstacles (EN)
With the latest version of the feed-in tariff Conto Energia in 2007, the annual installed photovoltaic capacity in Italy has increased rapidly: 9.4 MW in 2006, 70 MW in 2007 and expected 140 MW in 2008. However, the Italian PV market hides special difficulties. Market players should be perfectly prepared before undertaking activities. The French Photovoltaic Market 2007/08 – Another Path for Photovoltaics
(EN)
Despite being among the top ten worldwide photovoltaic markets, little information
has been available on the solar market in France. Based on a quantitative
survey among one third of the French market players, the new report by EuPD
Research sheds light on all previously prevailing obscurities and clarifies
the market’s structures and potentials. Read more about the study here.
The Spanish Photovoltaic Market 2007/08 – Optimism despite Legal
Uncertainties (EN)
Thanks to ideal natural conditions and high remuneration for solar energy,
the Spanish PV market grew by more than 350 percent in 2007. However, current
discussions indicate an annual degression of the feed-in tariffs and a promotion
targeted to smaller and medium-sized rooftop plants. This is expected to
cause slower market growth and more competition between the market participants.
In its most recent study, EuPD Research tracks the high-impact trends up
to 2010. Read more about the study here.
