The economics department of EuPD Research is responsible for highly qualified and independent analyses. Along with the surveillance, analysis and evaluation of macroeconomic and sector developments, we also offer an internal organization consultancy service. Besides the classical econometric methods that are usually deployed in the compilation of analyses of the economic situation, of structures, countries and industries; on the microeconomic level, we are increasingly adopting specialized risk and decision analysis software. In our inquiries, we draw upon our unique internal database. Close interaction and coordination with statistical agencies, scientific institutes and associations on national and international level are part of our daily schedule. Due to the initiative of the German Solar Industry Association (Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft) and against the background of the current change of the worldwide photovoltaic markets, EuPD Research has been analyzing the Photovoltaic location Germany again. The new edition presents deep insights into the German photovoltaic industry, addressing aspects such as the evaluation of sectoral investments and their effects on quality, value and job creation. Moreover, the study points out the impact of the worldwide financial and economic crisis on the local industry. Further emphasis is set on the analysis of the German sales market including its importance for the local industry. The market analysis according to regional key data indicates the energy, ecological and economic benefit of the solar energy promotion for each German administrative district.
